Yet another year...OLDER!!! hehe Happy birthday dear!

Sarah had 2 birthday parties so far. There's supposed to be a third but i dunno when it's coming up. So privileged. Took so many pictures and i don't even have one of my own for my 21st birthday...Crap!

Anyway, i enjoyed la during her burthday. So many people and just enough food...not enough for the second party though. Late comers didn't have any food to eat. Itulah! why late? Next time be ON TIME! dun go earlier...if not people will think you tak sabar-sabar bah. hehe one of those things i learnt from Danny's mom. She got that from a questionaire to test how much manners you have.

Da cake!!! Yum yum...

The Birthday girl...too happy...dun blame her... HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARAH!!!!

Planet Sahakers In Kuching

Planet shakers was in Kuching Week before last. Held their concert in INTI college. Honestly, the place was bigger than last years venue and there were too many people but it was enjoyable. We had a couple of people on sarah, michelle and I. And again, just like the year before we had each others sweat on each other from jumping around and singing.

The sermon was short and meaningful. Pastor Matthew spoke really enthusiastically. They had a session for jamming. The drummer was awesome keeping the beat up and everything and so was everyone else on stage. I like the lead guitarist. I felt he had a lot of talent.

Took a few pictures but they are not really clear cause i was standing somewhere at the middle of the hall and i had zoom on. check them out...

You are Julian of Norwich! It's all about God, to
you. You're convinced that the world has a
happy ending. Everyone else is convinced that
you're a closet hippie, but you love them
anyway.

Alamanda College

These few days have been really tiring for me. I'm not tired physically but more of mentally. There has been word going around that there were rape cases. Starting two months ago word has it. So this is really freaking me out. Had a couple of sleepless nights because of it.

Just yesterday my friend told me of another case which happened at my block. Ya. MY block. She's a thrid year enginnering student. And then all of a sudden there's a hole in my bathroom ceiling. Looks as if one of the layers that covers the ceiling has been moved the day before. Coincidentally i heard noises on my roof the night before also. Honestly, i dunno what to think anymore except to pray to God for my safety and the safety of those people around me.

My apartment which is fit for 8 now only has 2 ppl living in it. Me and another housemate. I was thinking of bunking with my other friends in their apaprtment in another block but that would leave my housemate totally alone. Sighs...

Planning to do some complaining today to my lecturer or to my college office. Hopefully i can do one of those. Don't want to keep living in fear like this. It's horrible.

Tennis tournament

was supposed to write this blog last week but just didn't have the time. Was so busy in my lab and have now gotten sick. Heck!

Anyways we had women singles played last satuday just after my field trip. Yea it was a painful experience taking into consideartion the thigh aches i got from climbing hills and crossing bridges.

Here are some pictures from the tennis tournament. Enjoy...

The wise treasurer, Grace...kicking some ass

The Vice President, Sarah...Erm...What are you doing Sarah?

The Vice Treasurer, Me!...look at that return! Now can it get any better than this???

The reluctant President, Christine...Well, it hard sometimes but she manages it really good :-)

The player, Isaacs... Now there a few possibilities: 1) he's scratching his armpit 2) he's telling his opponent there's a cute chick at his side of the court 3) It's his way of doing service....hmmm...now remember...this is a trick question! Ciao!

Field trip

Went for a field trip last saturday and it was very very fun. Spent some time getting to know more about my friends, lecturer and lab assistant (who didn't seem so bad after i got to know him). So we spent a whole day at my smapling site and i learnt and saw a lot of new things in that short period of time.

Didn't know that people could carry such heavy things on their back until i saw the orang asli carry a 40kg battery across a 2 bamboo bridge which i had a hard time crossing. This bamboo bridge was suspended about 30 m in the air and is as long. The first time i saw it, it did send shivers down my spine but i thought i might as well do it. It's an experince! anyways, the orang asli carrying solar panels across too to their homes so that they can have electricity. Strong-willed ppl i'd say. Not only ppl! we managed to see a dog swim across the river and another walk across the bridge! now what do we have to say about that? If there's a will ther's a way...

All these made me think that i'm a lucky person even though i don't have much. I shouldn't be glad for what i have instead of dwelling in what i don't. God only gives us as much as we can take. Not more, not less. Cheers!

What for?

Can't understand some ppl who pretend to be nice when you clearly know their true intentions. Why can't they just be themselves instead of trying to be other ppl? Why can't they just be happy with what they have instead of stelaing other ppl's thunder? It is that important for them to be in the limelight all the time. Really dislike that attitude of some ppl trying so hard to prove that they are better than others. No need to prove one. If you're good, you're good right? Scrape the i'm-better-than-you attitude and maybe other ppl will find ppl in this category more approachable. Don't you think? Cheers!

what's the big deal?

There are some things in life that are more important than others in life. For some it's money, others it's love and it also can be funny things like how the pencil is placed inside the pencil case (my sister always places her pens and pencils in ONE direction only. can remeber the time she scolded me for putting it the other way round).

So what is it with this thing called i-want-it-this-way-and-it-can't-be-any-other-way-other-than-my-way? must admit that sometimes i'm like that too. Not being able to give in to some things which are most important to me. But sometimes it just has to happen for the good of those around you. You fret and you sigh and it spoils the rest of your day. And no one knows your hurt. Days later you forget that it never happened and you have moved on. What happened was just another speck in your life that you somehow felt you overreacted on. Dunno about you guys but this is how i see things based on the past experiences i had.

In this world nothing is fair. Everything is subjected to everything else. If not Earth would be Heaven. I've learn to leave room for unforseen circumstances and not fret so much about things anymore. Sometimes, just SOMETIMES, you have to go with the flow. But that doesn't mean u go against what you stand for especially when it comes to GOD. Cheers!

when was the last time?

oh 6 days ago... i think. Goodness... sorry. was really bz preparing my aquariums. yup until forgot my own finace's birthday. got sounding from him but it's ok la. what's another sounding when u already had two that day from your lecturer. nothing right?

anyways, i have already managed to get the water in my aquariums to circultae properly. INFLOW=OUTFLOW as my supervisor would say. "Whatever it is just make sure it does not overflow from the tank!". My immersible pump kaput yesterday and when i told him it was spoilt he didn't quite believe me. He wanted me to go and ask the lab assisstant what to do but the las ass wasn't in. So my lecturer conveniently told me " now learn your lesson...always wait until the lab ass is in before you do your work" die la like that. always must wait for the ass who only works 3 hours out of the total working hours. the rest is used for eating, surfin the net and talking to fellow lab asses. TOO MUCH! and i get the scolding!

my field trip will most prob be on friday and sat. and i ahev a paper to sit for on tuesday night. The notes are so high it could reach Heaven's Gate. yup! That's what in and what's up for me. and that's why i haven't been writing.

on the less serious note, check this site http://www.friendster.com/user.php?uid=7549407. My french lecturer's in it... pass your comments to me if you think he is worthy of any hehe. Cheers!!
