Field trip
Went for a field trip last saturday and it was very very fun. Spent some time getting to know more about my friends, lecturer and lab assistant (who didn't seem so bad after i got to know him). So we spent a whole day at my smapling site and i learnt and saw a lot of new things in that short period of time.
Didn't know that people could carry such heavy things on their back until i saw the orang asli carry a 40kg battery across a 2 bamboo bridge which i had a hard time crossing. This bamboo bridge was suspended about 30 m in the air and is as long. The first time i saw it, it did send shivers down my spine but i thought i might as well do it. It's an experince! anyways, the orang asli carrying solar panels across too to their homes so that they can have electricity. Strong-willed ppl i'd say. Not only ppl! we managed to see a dog swim across the river and another walk across the bridge! now what do we have to say about that? If there's a will ther's a way...
All these made me think that i'm a lucky person even though i don't have much. I shouldn't be glad for what i have instead of dwelling in what i don't. God only gives us as much as we can take. Not more, not less. Cheers!

I think you mean you should be glad... (referring to end of post). And I think they're Iban la not orang asli.. either that or Bidayuhs... either way, they're both clans of the Dayak ppl. Nice pics gal. show the world the real meaning of "suspension bridge"!! Yeah!!
