My past 3 and a half months in a nutshell

It’s 3 days til I go back to Kuching. A little reflection on what happened the last 3 and a half months. Aside from the one gathering I had with my ex classmates, my 2 months in industrial training and the time I spent with my boo and my sis, I don’t think it was as worthwhile as I expected it to be.

Number one, my close friends were bz with one thing or another so we didn’t really spend quality time with each other. By the time LI was over all we wanted to do was spend time with our families, which brings me to…

Number two, my sis was back. She’s the favourite in the family. Smart, pretty, filial…you name it. So, who would want to pay attention to an “Average Jane” like me right? Don’t get me wrong. I love her but, I dunno, I just can’t help but feel favouritism in the air.

And number three, I didn’t get to meet the people I so badly wanted to meet, particularly this one friend of mine. I didn’t understand why for the past 3 months, when I said we could meet up anytime, he didn’t have time to. And when I was 5 days to going back then he calls asking me to go out with him and a couple of friends (which I eventually found out, one of them was his girl). All I wanted was some time with him. We used to be so close and we cared about each other. Now it doesn’t seem as if our friendship is important anymore judging from the way he conveniently brushed our meeting aside. Anyways, I want to get over this. It’s weighing me down.

And then there's this cousin of mine who just came back from US. he'll be here for two weeks but i don't know whether i'll be able to meet up with him. hopefully i can.

Can’t say that I hated my hols because I did spend a lot of quality time with Danny particularly that one week we spent in KL shopping!!! Our time in Perlis was also well spent…saw a lot of new things and visited places. I enjoyed cooking for him cause he always says “Thanks dear…your cooking is really nice ” even though I new very well it sucked. I mean how good can canned food and instant macaroni get right?

I managed to catch up with my best friend’s life and another who just came back from UK. Both of them broke up with their bfs already and are now more wary with choosing partners in the future hehe. I made new friends when I was doing my LI too. Two of which I still have contact with so I’m proud of that hehe. Met a group of my F6 mates at a bbq party hosted by the one and only Hong Chern Wern. Lucky for us we had Hong. If not we most probably wouldn’t meet up.

I learnt a lot during LI…in and outside lab. Went for a couple of dives so that was fun. How many of us gets to dive with fishes that are 2 meters long and a turtle? I did! Hehe. So I consider myself privileged  (Except for the time the turtle slapped me while trying to feed off the algae I was brushing of the aquarium walls)

So a lot happened. The good and the not so good. The bad and the not so bad. Sometimes I wish I had spent it more wisely but sometimes I think the past 3 and a half months wasn’t that bad after all. Well, that’s it. Sarah, was this what you wanted? Hehe. Can’t wait to see you guys back there in Kuching. Miss you all loads!
